About Program
Physiology is one of the corner stones of Medicine. By definition, it is
concerned with the study of whole body functions. If these processes can be
accurately defined, diseases can often be described as disturbance of the
structure and function and treatment, in principle at least, follows. Thus, the
greater the understanding normal function of all those involved in patient care,
the better they are equipped.
A two-year (four semesters) program in physiology leading to the degree of M.Sc.
in physiology is offered by the Physiology Department in the collage of
Medicine.

Admission criteria
Admission criteria
1.Introduce two recommendation letters from his
professors who teach him before, and direct contact with him.
2.For each university Council to add to these general requirements what is also
seen necessary by his members.
3.To register to Master degree student should get at least very good in the
graduation ( Grade point average of not less than 70% or 2.5) and exception to
the above items may be made by council of Higher Education accepted good degree
but the student must get very good degree in his subject of specialty in master.
4.Non-medically qualified candidates from the collage of Pharmacy, Dentistry,
Applied Medical Sciences and in certain cases, qualified students from other
colleges having strong background in areas pertinent to physiology may be
accepted in the program, their admission to the graduate program will only be
confirmed after passing the designated prerequisites courses with grade “ very
good”.
